I think this post could be more useful if you offered some practical advice for how to determine proper plant care yourself. For example, it could be useful to research the plant's native environment, to find out what climate it is indigenous to, and then figuring out how to try to provide that to the plant in your home, and so on. I felt like you started to get there at the end, but drew back. Maybe for a follow up post?
Thanks, yes, this article is less how to, and more about the app you take. The other articles here are more of the sort you suggest. And more on the way :)
I am a novice host of plants at home 🌿 some have already died, of course, but time and experience are making me a more attentive caregiver.
Is there any book, or any other resource, you would recommend for a novice plant enthusiast? You mentioned The House Plant Expert - would that be good?
The Expert book (1991) is great but out of print. Must be others but I’m not aware of them. One reason I started Dirt Wise. To find the best species info, look by plant name instead of reading general material
Interesting, enjoyable post! Kind regards form Hamburg, Germany.
